The Wire

Welcome to the May 2020 edition of our bi-monthly newsletter for Kiwitown Electrical customers.

about us
Well we couldn't of predicted this in our last newsletter, but here we are - almost out of the thick of it!
We worked through most of Alert Level 4 Lockdown on a number of essential jobs - from no hot water to air con repair, appliance repairs, farm power breakdowns and other power issues, so we were busy enough!
Great to be back providing safe services to our clients and customers, we want to thank you so much for your continued loyalty.
Dave & I are set with return to work protocols, PPE and will ensure physical distancing at all times, this makes some of our work a little harder, but its all important and the only way to be for now and into the future.

working safely

We have PPE and protocols in place to ensure we are working safely with all of our customers.  It's also about the knowledge we have to provide you the electrical service, as a qualified, licensed electrician.

We all understand the danger of electrical shock or electrocution from touching live wires, and substandard electrical work can be just as dangerous. We always use the proper gauge of high-quality wire with every installation or repair.  Someone else may suggest using wire that is cheaper and easier to connect, this would not be the best approach.

This exposes the circuit to overheating, as lighter wiring will struggle to handle as much of a current. This runs the risk of starting a house fire as wiring overheats behind walls and the floor. As a qualified electrician we have the right equipment and know how to work in dangerous circumstances such as using automatic shut offs when grounding conditions are compromised in wet or damp locations.

quality workmanship

Its a simple service, having an outlet or light switch replaced, but you still want to ensure it’s done right to avoid a second appointment for the same service.

Running wiring through finished walls and ceilings can be a messy and time-consuming process. It is important not to cut corners, creating expensive and inconvenient issues down the line. We are committed to making sure our work is completed carefully and take the best rather than easiest approach.

Thank you for your ongoing support, we appreciate the feedback and enjoy your comments!
