Welcome to the first edition of The Wire a bi monthly newsletter for Kiwitown Electrical customers.
who are we
If you haven’t yet met me, I’m Daniel Neal, owner of Kiwitown with over 14 years’ experience. I trained as an electrician under Otorohanga Electrical along with a number of the electricians in Otorohanga. We all grew up and went out separate ways and in 2010 I started Kiwitown Electrical. The team is made up of Dave Phillips, who moved back to the area in 2016 and apprentice Sam Lewis. We pride ourselves on high quality efficient service, Done Once, Done Right. I look forward to sharing industry news, offers and solutions to you over the coming months.
community
Earlier in the year there was a spate of graffiti and damage to St Mary’s School in Otorohanga, a new hall had windows broken and tagging on classrooms. After seeing the damage I called the office and offered to install a security system free of charge. During the recent school holidays, we did just that – and already we have caught someone in the “act”. With the support of the local police, we should be able to deter the rogues doing this damage in future.

did you know
Arrowhead are our preferred provider for security solutions. A NZ made product, Arrowhead have a reputation for quality, and offer a 5 year warranty on their product. Have you considered looking at this for your home, business, dairy shed or a rental property? The obvious benefit is cameras often deter criminals, and provide evidence should they carry on. This provides an element of security to your home or business, it should decrease your insurance cover and adds to the protection of your asset. We can provide you with a quote; the investment up front is outweighed by the minimal maintenance costs going forward….
take it back!

fun fact
Did you know that you should clean your washing machine regularly? Often calls for appliance repairs result in the need for a basic clean. You clean your shower and bath, so similarly it is important to clean this important machine. Life without one is not easy! We recommend Ceraclean, run a hot wash, soak for up to 8 hours (overnight) – all the instructions are on the packet, and this can be bought at your local supermarket – its worth it – REALLY!
